According to data from the Kunshan Bacheng Hand sewn Cashmere Coat Industry Association, the town has formed a cashmere clothing industry cluster covering the entire industry chain from design, production to sales. The annual output of cashmere (wool) coats is about 20 million pieces, making it one of the largest production and manufacturing bases for hand sewn double-sided woolen coats in China. With the joint efforts of government and enterprises, a number of hand sewn cashmere coat manufacturing enterprises have been established one after another, and the cashmere industry in Bacheng is gradually becoming a wildfire. According to incomplete statistics, there are currently thousands of cashmere coat production, manufacturing, and sales units in Bacheng Town, including about 30 clothing design and production enterprises with an annual production capacity of over 100000 pieces.
